Sam Pee Yalley Joins 2020 NDC Presidential Aspirants
Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, His Excellency Samuel Yalley has joined other aspirants of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the 2020 presidential candidacy.
Mr. Samuel Pee Yalley is among four party echelons namely former Speaker of Parliament, Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho, former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Honourable Hannah Serwah Tetteh as well as former Minister for Trade and Industry Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah who are allegedly vying to contest the flagbearership of the party.
His Excellency, Mr. Samuel Panyin Yalley is a lawyer by profession, and until his appointment as Ghana’s High Commissioner to India with concurrent accreditation to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives, was the Chief Executive of the National Pension Regulatory Authority (NPRA)
Mr. Yalley also contested the Ahanta West NDC parliamentary primaries in the Western Region held in November 2015 and lost to incumbent George Kwame Aboagye.
As a High Commissioner, his vision is to facilitate the education of Ghanaian students in India with special interest in ICT and pharmaceuticals and to promote the establishment of small-scale industries and agro-processing. On trade and investment, his priority projects include rehabilitation of railways in Ghana, gold and oil refinery, rubber and energy production.
