Keta MP Questions The Creation of Sanitation Ministry
The Member of Parliament for Keta, Honourable Richard Quashigah, has questioned the rationale behind the creation of a ministry for sanitation. He said the solution is not in the creation of ministries, but having an effective ways of dealing with the canker.
“The solution does not lie in a new creation…what it is, is having an effective solution…very strategic that can actually deal with the problem,” the MP said.
He also indicated that government has a department that deals with sanitation under the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing and questioned the creation of the new ministry.
“We have a whole department on sanitation under the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, so why create a new ministry,” he concluded.
