If You Can’t Protect us, Vacate The Presidency – General Mosquito to Nana Akuffo Addo
Recent reports of occupation of state institutions and harassment of supposed members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by alleged party loyalists of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the inauguration of Nana Akuffo Addo as President, have gone unnoticed by leadership of the opposition.
In a press conference yesterday at the party’s headquarters, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia called on the President to protect Ghanaians or vacate the presidency.
“We have all voted and given you the mandate to protect us. Whether Nana Addo likes it or not, he must protect us, if he cannot protect us, the he should vacate the (presidential) seat and go,” General Mosquito warned.
He also drew attention of government to call on the alleged invisible forces to order. He warned that if the lives of their members are threatened, they will be forced to retaliate.
Some institutions like the Passport Office, Tema Ports, NADMO and others have all been attacked.
